PE single recyclable (including recycled materials) composite flexible packaging, the "KBpackage" digital printing technology is mature.

The introduction of Europe’s packaging circular economy regulations presents both challenges and business opportunities.

By December 31, 2025,EU member states are required to achieve a 65% recovery rate for all packaging waste by weight,of which composite flexible packaging must also reach a 50% recovery rate.

CEFLEX, the European Flexible Packaging Circular Economy organization, strongly recommends that flexible packaging use materials with polyethylene (PE) accounting for more than 90% by weight.Other barrier components such as SiOx, AlOx, aluminum coating and EVOH are permitted to account for a maximum of 5% by weight.This definition is now widely accepted by the industry.

MDOPE / GRSPE (PE with recycled content) will become mainstream in the European market.Its water and oxygen barrier properties are close to those of BOPP//PET//PE structures,making it suitable for various bag styles and most product packaging.

MDOPE (Machine Direction Oriented Polyethylene) film is gaining increasing popularity.After orientation, PE film features high stiffness, high heat resistance, high tensile strength and excellent optical properties.MDOPE film is used in mono-material packaging to replace traditional surface layers of BOPP, PET or PA.

GRSPE FilmGRS stands for Global Recycled Standard.It is an international voluntary full-product standard.Depending on end-customer requirements, different proportions of PCR materials are added.

PCR refers to post-consumer recycled materials.If PCR materials are added during production,TC certificates (Transaction Certificates) can be issued according to customer requirements.

Note: TC certificates for materials are charged separately for each procurement batch.

Key technical problems solved

Problem 1The PE//PE structure has long suffered from relatively poor bag flatness, especially for eight-side seal bags.Through continuous innovation in materials, processes and technologies,we have finally achieved excellent flatness of finished bags.

 

Problem 2Through continuous improvement, we have achieved better easy-tear zipper openabilityand expanded the range of available zipper options.

 

Important Notice:The currently used mono-material recyclable PE//PE structure has high tensile properties.It is difficult to tear open slowly and gently.We recommend customers to tear it quickly with a firm, continuous pull in one go!
